Three Free Immunization Clinics Scheduled
SEATTLE – In order to assist those remaining Seattle Public Schools students whose immunization records are not yet up-to-date, SPS is providing three free immunization clinics for students. The clinics are scheduled in advance of January 8, 2020, which is the “exclusion date” for SPS. Student records must reflect updated immunization status by January 8, 2020, or students cannot attend school. These students will be excluded from school, as per state law, until the required information is provided to the school nurse.
Washington state law* requires that students are fully vaccinated, or are in the process of completing immunizations, or have a signed Certificate of Exemption in order to attend school. Families of students whose records are not up to date or are missing information have been notified via email, postal mail, and a letter home from the student’s school.
